"Nesting" is the practice of creating comfortable, highly personal spaces that soothe the nervous system.  More than ever, our homes serve as a retreat from the hectic outside world - unless clutter and disorganization are limiting your home's potential.  Having strong organizational systems in place are a key component to achieving the sense of calm we look forward to when we walk through our front door at the end of the day.

I've had a natural instinct for "nesting" since childhood.  From carefully organizing my toys as a child, to thoughtfully curating "cozy" whereever I've lived.  Making the spaces I call “home” organized, comfortable and attractive has always been critical to my sense of well-being. 

As it turns out, there’s science behind this. Research shows that homes free of visual clutter are associated with lower stress levels, better focus, and more restful sleep which makes us more productive and happy,

After spending almost a decade working in finance in New York City, I stepped away from the corporate world to raise our family. Decorating and organizing our newly built house with the ever-changing clutter generated by three active children honed (and sometimes tested!) my natural talent for nesting.  Through the years, friends and family have enjoyed exploring my latest home improvement projects and organizational systems - sometimes playfully switching my labels around just for fun - and consistently encouraged me to share my talents with others.  

Now, as our children are grown and life enters a new chapter, I’m channeling my lifelong passion and personal experience into Nested Haven LLC — helping others transform their homes into beautiful, functional spaces that support busy lives and foster a sense of peace.
